Deadline for the project is Thursday, April 10.
If you want to, you can put your web page on the Franklin College server
to make it available to the world. I will show you how to do this.
Since some of the requirements for the project may not be what
you really want to have on your webpages, you might want to
create two versions: One to be displayed on the internet, and
the other version of the project that will be graded and should obey
the project requirements stated below. It is easiest if you start
creating the internet version first. After you have finished this,
just add the requirements as necessary.
The requirements for the project version are:
Give me a folder containing the HTML pages and the images.
- You should have at least three HTML files---one start
(home) page, and two further pages.
- The pages should contain
- internal links between the different pages,
- links to some outside web pages
(that are maybe related to your pages),
- two or more images
- some color (text, background, ...)
- four of the following:
- a table used for formating images and text precisely
(although this practice came out of fashion). (A simple table without formatting purposes
doesn't obey this requirement)
- a frame page,
- dynamic buttons (buttons linking to other pages that change color if
you move the mouse over them) like these
- a (free) Java applet you downloaded
from somewhere
and included into your page,
- a music file you downloaded
from somewhere
and included into your page,
- a javascript (different from the one for the buttons),
- a form,
- A simple CSS
Have a look on students' webpages from former
classes.
